Midea Biases

One type of biases that Gladstone talks about that effects my discipline is Bad news Biases. Bad news Biases is that we are wired to care abut anything that even remotely threatens us- so emphasizing bad news is good business. This makes the world seem more dangours than it really is. I belive that this bias affacts my dissapline greatly is because telling people the bad parts of psychology is makig peopel afrid of us. I also bewlive that it also making people shy away form becoming psycholoigsis because of the missinfofrmation. It’s so imporatn to learn the turth about psychology and tell of it’s goods and some of its bads. It’s also imporant to tell people that it’s okay to see a psychologists, we are nice kind harted people. The porteal of our dissaplin with in the midea is harmful, because people can minpulated into beliveign the stereotypes and that will strike fear into to them. Another harmful porteal of my dissaplin is we are hartless people that don’t care, but that’s false because we do care and we do have a hart. It angers me how the meida is muniplaitng the people into beliving these steryopes. I belive the more we teach people about our feild the better the people will turst us. It’s imporat to debunk these sterotypes because if we dont than the sterotypes will just get worse. That’s why bad news biaese is harmful to my disscourse.
